MMCA 20 guest judge Ruth Watson will use 20th-century art and cartography to discuss the possibilities and pitfalls raised by using map imagery in artistic production.

Pot luck dinner included (please bring something to share.)

2020 Molly Morpeth Canaday Award is presented by exhibition partners Arts Whakatāne and Whakatāne District Council.

About the Whakatāne Museum

The Whakatāne Museum is located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and serves the Whakatāne District and the Mataatua rohē. The museum operates over two premises.

Museum Background

The origins of the museum date to 1933, with the formation of the Bay of Plenty Māori and Historical Research Society.
