Art in Stitches contains a dazzling array of stitchwork crafted by the Whakatane Embroiderers' Guild over the last three years. The Whakatāne Embroiderers’ Guild was formed in 1981 and members have taken a lifetime to acquire the skills on display. If you have every been curious about the mysteries of hardanger, hebdo, stumpwork, or crewel, this is your chance to learn more from local experts. Friendly members of The Guild will be available to talk about their work over a cuppa at the opening event.
