Join local artist Jordan-Davey-Emms for an informal artist talk about her current exhibition Ground Hum, showing in the Whakatāne Community Board Gallery until 10 September. 

A recent graduate from Elam School of Fine Arts with a BFA (Hons), Jordan will discuss her current art-practice through discussion and material play on the green area outside Te Kōputu a te whanga a Toi – the Whakatāne Library and Exhibition Centre.

Guests will meet inside the Whakatāne Community Board Gallery at 10:30 am before we venture outside for a shared picnic and chat.

About the Whakatāne Museum

The Whakatāne Museum is located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and serves the Whakatāne District and the Mataatua rohē. The museum operates over two premises.

Museum Background

The origins of the museum date to 1933, with the formation of the Bay of Plenty Māori and Historical Research Society.
