This workshop is perfect for kids who like to draw and doodle. Kids will learn a technique to convert their drawings into prints, while exploring different ways of achieving tone.

Local printmaker Sue Pearson will deliver four inspiring workshops to the community, teaching basic printmaking skills that explore a range of themes.

Workshops are designed to teach the technical skills of printmaking and to encourage and develop participant’s creativity.

About the artist:
Sue Pearson is an artist who works predominantly in printmaking. She is a Norfolk Islander, a descendent of the Bounty mutineers and Polynesian women of Pitcairn Island.

Sue was introduced to printmaking at Newcastle University, Australia in 1986 where she received a Bachelor of Arts, Visual Arts with distinction in printmaking. Sue has continued a professional fine art practice mostly in printmaking ever since. She exhibits and sells her work internationally. Sue's works share the stories of her life, home and cultural heritage.

In parallel with her international fine art practice, Sue has built two businesses based on printmaking and the idea of functional art and design.

Sue has taught numerous workshops, mentored art students, and lectured at tertiary institutions. She pursues the sharing of knowledge and creative spaces with others with the belief that one learns by doing.
