About the facilitator: M/other curator Sarah Hudson will run this workshop.

This event is inspired by the stunningly honest photographic series Vessel, by Leala Faleseuga. We invite you to join us and reflect on your own birth story. In following Faleseuga’s personal diary-style model, you’ll have time to reflect back and creatively capture key memories from when you became a parent. 

During the session we will use a mix of collage and creative writing to create small zine keepsakes. Zines are mini-booklets that are great for recording private thoughts, or for duplicating and publishing amazing ideas.

The Brookfields Lawyers Gallery will be closed for this workshop. There are 20 spaces available in this free event; bookings are essential. Please email arts@whakatane.govt.nz with your name and contact details to secure a place.
