As bodies in the world, we are swimming in fragments. We know moments of connection and linkage. But also the lurch and stutter of dislocation, re-sampling, and the portage of place. What does it mean to return to place? How to operate in the present?
In this workshop children will use this everyday item (pencil) on paper, but in conjunction with other materials, such as playdough, string, tape and bumpy surfaces.
Pinch pot, pouch, and box construction. How might we carry or keep special small things? What kind of home suits? Children are encouraged to bring something small to the class to make a ‘home’ for on the day.
