Artists are invited to attend a free professional development workshop presented by artist and mentor Deborah Crowe, taking place in the Little Orchard Room, Te Kōputu. This workshop will be interactive with practical exercises and group discussion around seeking funding in the arts, including writing a proposal, designing content and structure, general tips, and dos and don’ts of proposal writing.
Numbers are limited for this class, so email LEC@whakatane.govt.nz to book. Include your name and phone number.
Trained at Glasgow School of Art, Crowe has consulted to various agencies in the sector, including Creative New Zealand and NZQA. She has also worked as a mentor for Artists Alliance and the Arts Regional Trust: Te Taumata Toi-a-lwi (ART). After many years in tertiary education, Crowe launched Crowe Creative Art Services, a small business delivering expertise in three strands - mentoring, workshops and consulting.
Deborah Crowe is currently exhibiting artwork in Urban Realms, exploring the interdependence of urban spaces, showing in the Sheaff Family Gallery, Te Kōputu.
