This selection of contemporary artworks explores the changes in the artistic representations of the New Zealand landscape – from a symbol of national identity to landscapes of memories, myths and dreams.

Whakatāne Museum acknowledges the support of The Sir James Wallace Arts Trust, Artis Gallery, Gow Langsford and Paul Nache galleries in loaning a number of works in the exhibition.
