About Sarah Hudson

Ngāti Awa, Ngāi Tūhoe

Sarah is a full-time visual artist and even fuller-time mum living and working in Whakatāne. Her practise is typically lens-based, expressing performance, sculpture and installation through still and moving imagery. She completed a Masters in Fine Arts through Massey University Wellington in 2010.

About the Whakatāne Museum

The Whakatāne Museum is located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and serves the Whakatāne District and the Mataatua rohē. The museum operates over two premises.

Museum Background

The origins of the museum date to 1933, with the formation of the Bay of Plenty Māori and Historical Research Society.
