MMCA Gallery Talk: Kirstin Carlin Location: Te Kōputu a te Whanga a Toi - Whakatāne Library and Exhibition Centre

2019 Molly Morpeth Canaday Award - Painting and Drawing Preliminary Judge and previous Major Award Winner Kirstin Carlin will talk about the work she has been making since 2017.

Carlin will focus on her series Pleasure Garden and Through the Trees.

About the Whakatāne Museum

The Whakatāne Museum is located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and serves the Whakatāne District and the Mataatua rohē. The museum operates over two premises.

Museum Background

The origins of the museum date to 1933, with the formation of the Bay of Plenty Māori and Historical Research Society.
