Artist and art activist, Jennifer Epperson (USA) is in Whakatāne for a month-long Volcanic Artist Residency. During her time here, Jennifer is continuing her painting series Women as Birds, Portraits of Power. Come along to hear Jennifer talk about the power of women, and to learn more about her artistic methods.

Jennifer Epperson has been brought to the District through Whakatāne District Council’s Volcanic Artist Residency Pilot Programme, with support from White Island Tours (Ngāti Awa Group Holdings Limited), Arts Whakatāne, Antipodes Water Company and Whakatāne District Council, with thanks to Whakatāne Kiwi Trust.
