Whakatāne
Cost: Price of 7 to 18 photographs printed as 6x4s (each participant to cover their own printing)
Join Whakatāne Camera Club members Mandy Hague and Maree Wills in this weekend photography workshop for people 16 years+.
This workshop takes inspiration from the artwork series “Joiners” created by English artist David Hockney in the 1980s. These were multiple snaps of a single subject seen from different viewpoints, arranged to make a composite image. Mandy and Maree will help workshop participants to create their own “Joiner” inspired composites from start to finish.
Saturday, 9 June
10 am -12 pm
Workshop introduction and group discussion, followed by photography session. Participants will need to organize the printing of their own photographs following this session, to be used on Sunday. Lazer Photos has been suggested as a reliable option for printing.
Sunday, 10 June

Participants will crop, arrange, and assemble Joiners using their own printed 6x4 photographs from the day before.
